Beach Break Live is Back and Better than Ever!

Beach Break Live voted The UK’s best small festival for 2009 is back again for 2010, and looks to be even better than previous years. This year’s line up is one not to be missed with over 30 acts already announced, including the likes of Calvin Harris, Chase & Status, Ellie Goulding and Annie Mac, with more still to be confirmed.
Pembrey Country Park in South Wales will play host to the festival this year from the 14th to the 18th of June. The park is host to a 130 metre dry ski slope, the longest toboggan run in Wales, Go Ape tree courses and death slides, Zorbing, golf courses, and horse riding on the beach. The festival encapsulates both great music and a taste of adventure, making it perfect for students.
Virtual Festivals, the online festival guide said Beach Break Live is, “A date that will become as essential to students as their dissertations and final exams”. With tickets for the four day festival being a mere £89, it really is the perfect student festival, a huge amount of fun for around half the price of many other festivals. To view the rest of the line up, and to purchase tickets go to the beach break website, www.beachbreaklive.com .
Beach Break Live is going to be an essential part to any student’s summer, so get involved!

"Is PR an Art or a Science?"

"Is PR an Art or a Science?" - I saw this question posted on a forum on PR week and it intrigued me. I personally think that Public Relations is a mix of both an art and a social science. I think that typically, people regard PR to be more of a social science due to there being many theorys surrounding the area, and due to PR strategy needing a lot of rational thought and decision making. These PR strategies and theories are what underline the whole of Public Relations, however it is the imaginitive and creative campaigns that are often the most successful and most well recieved, giving PR a difinitive arts aspect.

I'm currently a year 1 student at Leeds Metropolitan University studying Public Relations with Marketing. I've created this blog so that i can post my opinions upon any PR works, and also post any PR work i do.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
